Peter Eisenman
Peter Eisenman is an American architect who was born in Newark, New Jersey on the 11th of August 1932.

- Bachelor of Architecture degree - Cornell University
- Master of Architecture degree - Colombia University (Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation)
- M.A. and Ph.D. degrees - University of Cambridge
- Honorary degree - Syracuse University, School of Architecture
In 1967, he founded the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies (IAUS), an international think tank for architecture in New York, and served as its director until 1982. Peter Eisenman's career was first recognised when he became a member of the New York five. The New York Five refers to a group of five architects from New York including (Peter Eisenman, Michael Graves, Charles Gwathmey, John Hejduk and Richard Meier) whose work was studied in a CASE (Committee of Architects for the Study of the Environment) meeting at the Museum of Modern Art, organized by Arthur Drexler and Colin Rowe in 1969.
Prior to establishing a full-time architectural practice in 1980, Mr. Eisenman worked as an independent architect, educator, and theorist. He previously taught at the University of Cambridge, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and the Ohio State University. He currently teaches theory seminars and advanced design studios at the Yale School of Architecture and he is also Professor Emeritus at the Cooper Union School of Architecture.

Throughout his career Peter Eisenman wrote a few books which covered different aspects of architecture and other topics including comparative formal analyses; the emancipation and autonomization of the discipline; and histories of Architects , the books he wrote were:
